Marvel enthusiasts ‘haunted’ by minor detail in initial Fantastic Four trailer. Fans Excited for star studded movie to be released in July 2025

Fantastic Four Trailer Revealed

The initial teaser trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps has debuted, yet fans are already split over a minor detail featured in the 20-second video.

The upcoming MCU movie, featuring Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn as the heroic team, is scheduled to debut in July.

The hit film, a period drama set in the 1960s, will feature British actor Ralph Ineson as the antagonist Galactus.

In the teaser, absent the lead actor, a crowd that includes four children runs towards a shop, where the television is displaying footage of the Fantastic Four’s space shuttle launch.

Yet, audiences have noticed an auditory detail in the teaser, where the identical laugh track of children laughing is heard three times.

The reason for the track playing three times in rapid succession is somewhat unclear, yet it has sparked discussions on social media.

Film Reviewers Statements

Film reviewer Jeff Zhang stated: “Same ‘kids laughing’ stock audio played three times in 20 seconds. Disney reaching completely unprecedented levels of not giving a s***.”

“Lol, they couldn’t record better laughing sounds?” asked one viewer.

“That children laughing sound effect has haunted me since Phantom Menace where it plays twice in the same scene. can’t believe it’s used twice in like 20 seconds here,” added a third, referring to the critically polarising 1999 Star Wars film.

Another wrote: “The Fantastic Four: First Steps teaser….for the trailer… And they go ahead and use…Star Wars Phantom Menace kids laugh 3 times…damn not a good start.”

A fifth viewer joked: “Really happy for everyone to see — well, hear — some of my work at my new job in the sound department of marvel’s teaser trailer department, so excited for this first step(!) in a new direction for my career.”

Meanwhile, some fans have defended the teaser against naysayers. One person said: “Notice how they are only complaining about the kids laugh tracks because that’s the only thing they can nitpick about this.”

Another noted: “You already know it’s the MCU when people are literally complaining about children laughing.”

It is yet to be determined if this audio track will be included in the final film and whether its inclusion was a conscious choice linked to the film’s story.

In 2019, Disney’s Marvel Studios obtained the rights to the Fantastic Four following its merger with Fox.

The original Fantastic Four comic series depicts a team of scientists who gain superhero abilities after encountering a strange cosmic storm.

In November of last year, reports emerged that Pascal was “in discussions” to direct the reboot. Earlier that year, Mila Kunis was compelled to dispel rumors that she had been selected for the role of Sue Storm.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps is scheduled for release on July 25, 2025.
