Ferrari First Supercar Reveal After 11 Years

Ferrari NV has introduced its first brand-new supercar in over ten years, a $3.9 million vehicle that puts a modern spin on a well-known 1980s style.
Thursday, Ferrari announced that the F80, featuring a V6 hybrid engine with 1200 horsepowers, is one of the priciest models ever made by the Italian luxury brand, with just 799 units to be produced. Car deliveries will commence prior to the conclusion of the upcoming year.
The car is Ferrari’s most recent attempt to increase its already impressive profit margins, which have made it Europe’s top automaker despite producing fewer cars than its competitors.
In the midst of a general decline in luxury purchases, interest in luxury supercars priced at over $1 million stays strong. The F80 will have a standard price of $3.9 million in Italy, with prices in other countries to be announced later.
Ferrari F80 Top Speed
The F80, a two-seater with a top speed of approximately 217 miles per hour, is the company’s latest supercar following the release of the LaFerrari in 2013. Although the term supercar typically describes powerful sports cars, Ferrari specifically uses it for their exclusive and priciest models. Additional Ferrari supercars, such as the 1984 GTO and the 2002 Enzo, are only launched occasionally.

Flavio Manzoni Comments on the Design
The company stated that the design of the F80 was influenced by the aerospace sector. Ferrari “wanted to do something absolutely futuristic and disruptive, we didn’t want to get carried away with a nostalgic idea,” Chief Design Officer Flavio Manzoni said.

However, Ferrari enthusiasts will notice resemblances to the F40, known for its flat hood and striking rear end that were iconic enough to be featured on bedroom walls of young car enthusiasts in the late 1980s and 1990s.
Enrico Galliera, Ferrari’s Chief Marketing & Commercial Officer, informed reporters that all 799 cars have been informally reserved by potential clients after successful previews with wealthy buyers. If Ferrari were to sell every car for $3.9 million, they would make a grand total of $3.12 billion.
CEO Benedetto Vigna Plan
CEO Benedetto Vigna started focusing on increasing the production of electrified vehicles shortly after he joined the company in 2021. He stated last month that the company is set to release its debut electric supercar in the last quarter of the following year.
Vigna is dedicated to maintaining Ferrari’s product line exclusive by utilizing customization services to increase profits. This allows him the opportunity to increase prices in the future.
