During the Chicago Bears‘ game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London on Sunday, quarterback Caleb Williams had a confusing moment.
During the opening quarter, Williams attempted a sidearm pass up the field after falling behind 3-0. Though, the inexperienced quarterback tossed the ball directly at the Bears offensive lineman Matt Pryor halmet.
The performance quickly became popular and Williams received criticism for it.
In the second quarter, Williams redeemed himself with a clever play-action pass. He tricked the Jaguars’ defense and located tight end Cole Kmet running up the seam. Kmet evaded a Jacksonville tackler and ran into the end zone.

Williams later connected with Kmet for a second touchdown just before the end of the first half.
Chicago went into halftime leading 14-3.
Williams completed 12 out of 15 passes for 128 yards, throwing two touchdown passes and one interception. He led the team in rushing with a total of 56 yards.
Throughout five games this season, Williams has experienced success in short bursts. The top pick in the draft displayed his passing skills in a 36-10 victory against the Carolina Panthers by throwing for 304 yards and two touchdowns.
In Week 3, he threw for 363 yards and two touchdown passes in a 20-15 defeat to the Indianapolis Colts.
