How To Train Your Dragon Live Action
Teaser trailer released for the live-action remake of the film that started the franchise, How To Train Your Dragon. Mason Thames plays Hiccup, Gerard Butler portrays Chief Stoick the Vast, Nico Parker stars as Astrid, and Nick Frost takes on the role of Gobber in How to Train Your Dragon. Julian Dennison (Deadpool 2), Gabriel Howell (Bodies), Bronwyn James (Wicked), Harry Trevaldwyn (Smothered), Ruth Codd (The Midnight Club), BAFTA nominee Peter Serafinowicz (Guardians of the Galaxy), and Murray McArthur (Game of Thrones) are also featured in the film.
On the harsh island of Berk, where Vikings and dragons have been enemies for years, Hiccup (Mason Thames; The Black Phone, For All Mankind) stands out. Hiccup, the imaginative but ignored son of Chief Stoick the Vast (played by Gerard Butler, who voices his character in the animated franchise), breaks tradition by forming a friendship with Toothless, a feared Night Fury dragon. Their unexpected connection highlights dragons’ true essence, questioning the core of Viking culture.
Hiccup is supported by the fearless and determined Astrid (Nico Parker; BAFTA nominee for Dumbo, The Last of Us) and the village’s eccentric blacksmith Gobber (Nick Frost; Snow White and the Huntsman, Shaun of the Dead) as he faces a world divided by terror and lack of comprehension.
With an ancient danger on the horizon that puts both Vikings and dragons in peril, Hiccup’s bond with Toothless is crucial in creating a fresh path forward. Together, they have to find their way towards peace, surpassing the limits of their worlds and reshaping the concepts of heroism and leadership.

Three-time Oscar nominee Marc Platt (known for Wicked and La La Land) and Emmy winner Adam Siegel (known for Drive and 2 Guns) also contribute to its production.
